“The American Way” is from the CD Turn It Around, recorded at Wild Sound Studio, Minneapolis, MN.

At the University of Minnesota—Twin Cities, Tim Gustafson is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Writing Studies, and a Writing Consultant in the Center for Writing. He has also worked in First-Year Writing program administration and as a Writing Across the Disciplines Teaching Consultant. He earned a PhD in English from the University of Iowa in 1995. He has been writing songs for much longer: nearly 40 years. He appears occasionally as a solo performer, and more frequently with The Songwriters’ Support Group and The Fireroast Mountain Boys. Because you can never play too much music, he has recently joined the Hypoxic Punks.
